Event Details

Description

Join our community for Yom Hashoah V’Hagvurah, a commemoration of the Holocaust and heroism.

This year’s theme is “Then and Now.” We will honor this theme by having multigenerational members of Survivors' families – from Survivor to children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren – tell their story during the program.

Sean Martin, associate curator for Jewish History at Western Reserve Historical Society, will give remarks on connecting the past trauma of the Shoah to the current rise in antisemitism seen today.

We will also remember the Holocaust with:

Candle-lighting by Holocaust Survivors and their families
March of Generations
Procession of Holocaust-era Torah Scrolls
We must never forget.
