Description

Actress and playwright Hadas Kalderon is the granddaughter of renowned poet Avraham Sutzkever. She has been on a journey to keep her grandfather’s memory alive. Hadas will share the full narrative of her grandfather's life, highlighting how his poetry shaped his legacy, and how his story offers insight into historical events.

“CIAC Presents” is an initiative that will support Israeli artists during this time of limited opportunities. It will allow artists to discuss and share their work, strengthening the connection between Israeli artists and the Cleveland community during times of crisis.

Presented in partnership with Mandel JCC Lunch & Learn.

No cost to attend.

Please bring your own lunch. The J will provide drinks and dessert.

HADAS KALDERON is an Israeli theater, television and film actress, a screenwriter and producer. She currently serves as the artistic director of the National Youth Theatre. She is the associate producer of the award-winning documentary “Black Honey, the Life and Poetry of Avraham Sutzkever,” the producer and main character in the new film “Who Will Remain,” and the producer of the play “The Witness.”

Hadas Kalderon’s residency is presented by @Akiva for Teens, a beneficiary agency of the Jewish Federation of Cleveland.
