Volunteers Needed for Super Sunday
Be a volunteer at Super Sunday, one of the largest community-wide events in Jewish Cleveland! The Jewish Federation of Cleveland seeks volunteers to make calls in support of the 2016 Campaign for Jewish Needs. The event takes place from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on October 25 at the Jewish Federation of Cleveland’s Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Building (25701 Science Park Drive, Beachwood).
“Super Sunday is such an exciting and electric day. Seeing so many people come together to raise funds that are critical to numerous agencies and programs within our local and global community is truly inspirational,” said Courtney Fishman, Super Sunday Co-Chair. Fishman co-chairs the event with her husband Robert of Moreland Hills, Rochie and Jordan Berkowitz of University Heights, Lisa and Phil Linden of Pepper Pike, and Katie and Ari Spiegler of Beachwood.
For generations, Clevelanders have volunteered at Super Sunday to support the Campaign for Jewish Needs, which is the annual fundraising Campaign that supports our community’s vitality and vibrancy in the year ahead.
The Cleveland Jewish community is comprised of 80,000 people, and the national and international reach of the Federation encompasses tens of thousands more. Through the Campaign for Jewish Needs, people’s lives are changed for the better in Cleveland, Israel, and 70 countries around the globe. 91 cents of each dollar donated goes directly to the community for programs and services.
Volunteers may choose from five shifts throughout the day. Childcare for infant to pre-K is available by reservation from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Children’s activities for K–6th graders will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Kosher meals and snacks will be provided.
Sponsors of Super Sunday are Key Bank, Benesch and the Cleveland Jewish News.
