Supporting Each Other and Jewish Cleveland at the Women's Philanthropy Spring Brunch

This year, more than 350 women from across our diverse community came together to support each other and Jewish Cleveland at our annual Spring event. This tremendous turnout is further evidence of our shared commitment to making room for – and listening to – one another, no matter the topic.

Honorable Judge Rachel Freier of the New York City Criminal Court shared her personal – and, at times, humorous – story of determination and triumph by becoming the first Chassidic woman elected to public office.

“When you do something for G-d, it could be a very private little gesture. But you never know what kind of profound impact you’ll have on others,” she said. “When you do a mitzvah for someone else, you’re going to find out one day that you actually helped yourself.”

We also honored Judith Wolkoff, recipient of this year’s Irene Zehman Award for excellence in volunteer service for her work with the Transplant House of Cleveland. Over the years, Judith has become an integral part of the Transplant House family. Mazel Tov, Judith!

Thank you to our Host Committee; Event Co-Chairs Mindy Davidson, Rachel Glickman, Penny Greenberger, and Jamie Synenberg; Women's Philanthropy Community Outreach Co-Chairs Erica Starrfield and Dara Yanowitz; and Women's Philanthropy Chair Danielle Wild for organizing this event.

A special thanks to all of our guests who donated households items to the Transplant House of Cleveland as part of our annual service project. Also, thanks to all of you who support the annual Campaign for Jewish Needs. Because of you, we can care for one another, prepare for our future, share our perspectives, and repair our world. That's the Impact of Together!
