113th Annual Meeting to Address Security

The Jewish Federation of Cleveland invites the community to its 113th Annual Meeting featuring Dr. Ronald J. Clark, who oversaw critical infrastructure protection across physical and cyber risks activities for the Department of Homeland Security in his role as Deputy Under Secretary for the National Protection and Programs Directorate (NPPD). All are welcome to attend this free event on Thursday, April 20 at 7:30 pm at B’nai Jeshurun Congregation, 27501 Fairmount Blvd. in Pepper Pike.

Clark, who served in the White House under both President George W. Bush and President Barack Obama, joins us to discuss “Jewish Cleveland: The New Security Agenda.” Clark is a retired Marine Corps infantry and force reconnaissance officer. He is also the recipient of the Bronze Star Medal and the National Security Council Outstanding Service Award. Currently, he is CEO of Spartan Strategy and Risk Management providing advisory services on national security challenges.

“The Federation’s Annual Meeting is one of our most compelling events of the year. This year, our community comes together and welcomes Clark to discuss the safety and security of Jews living at home and around the world,” said Todd Stein, who co-chairs the annual meeting with his wife Carmie of Moreland Hills.

In addition to the keynote, Michael Siegal will be recognized as the recipient of the 2017 Charles Eisenman Award, the highest civic honor for exceptional community service presented by the Federation.

The event will also feature remarks by Gary L. Gross, Federation Board Chair. In addition, an election of Federation Trustees will take place.

The 113th Annual Meeting of the Jewish Federation of Cleveland is free and open to the public; registration is requested. For more information or to RSVP, please visit www.jewishcleveland.org, email infomgr@jcfcleve.org or call 216-593-2900 x740.
