A Night to Remember at the Women's Philanthropy Signature Event

Jewish Cleveland women innovate, impact, and inspire! Nearly 250 Lion of Judah, Pomegranate, and Ben-Gurion Society donors celebrated philanthropy at our second annual Women’s Philanthropy Signature Event.

Keynote speaker Jessica Abo uplifted us with her story about her Jewish journey. As the granddaughter of Holocaust survivors, Jessica credits her success as an award-winning TV journalist to her Jewish roots. “Each of you should be proud to be part of our Jewish community. We help people, from cradle to grave, because that's what we do best.”

Three dynamic women from across our diverse community shared their personal experiences about how our community’s support of the Campaign for Jewish Needs changed and saved their lives. Thank you Natalie Korach, Danielle Wild, and Joanne Davis for sharing your stories of courage.

Mazel Tov to Beth Wain Brandon, 2017 recipient of the prestigious Ruby Bass Award. Beth was honored for her lifelong passion for the Federation and commitment to the Women’s Campaign. “There’s something special about a sisterhood of women who are philanthropically inclined and there’s so much good that we can do,” she said.

Thank you to Women’s Philanthropy Chair Jennifer Korach, Lion of Judah Chairs Shari Perlmuter, Barbara Rosskamm, Rachel Weinberg, and Sarah Zimmerman, Pomegranate Society Chairs Mara Kamat and Marla Petti, Women’s Philanthropy Campaign Chairs Adrienne Goldberg and Danielle Wild, Women’s Philanthropy Campaign Vice Chair Becky Heller, and our gracious host committee.

And, todah (thank you) to all of our guests for joining us! Together, we are building a better, stronger, more compassionate world for all of us.
