ABOUT ZIKARON BASALON: Translated literally into “remembrance in the living room” from Hebrew, Zikaron BaSalon is an annual event, which takes place on Israeli Holocaust Memorial Day. The idea was born from the understanding that the connection between us – third generation descendants of the Holocaust survivors – and the memories of the Holocaust, has significantly deteriorated. In 2017, over 750,000 people chose to commemorate Yom Hashoah by attending a Zikaron BaSalon in their local community. The event started eight years ago in Israel but today has turned into a worldwide tradition with over 40 participating locations across the globe.

This event is hosted in partnership with:
Cleveland Hillel Foundation, Hillel at Kent State University, JFSA, and Kol Israel Foundation
