The Angel exposes – for the first time in English – the thrilling life and mysterious death of Ashraf Marwan, an Egyptian senior official who spied for Israel and almost saved Israel from defeat in the Yom Kippur War, offering new insight into the turbulent modern history of the Middle East.
Uri Bar-Joseph, professor in the Department for International Relations at Haifa University, lives in Tel Aviv, Israel. He earned his PhD in political science from Stanford University and is best known for his books on intelligence, strategy, Israel’s national security policy, and history of the Arab-Israeli conflict.
