Learn about the opioid epidemic, its impact on our Cleveland Jewish community, and how to get help for friends and family members in need. Then participate in a hands-on social action and advocacy project that will support the community’s awareness efforts. Featuring:
- Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge, who will share her expertise on The Breaking Addiction Act of 2017.
- Sheryl Hirsh, a member of our Jewish community, who will share her personal story about her daughter’s overdose and untimely passing.
Participate in our “Prescription Drug Take Back Initiative” to help raise awareness and reduce the misuse of opioid medications. A Beachwood police officer will be on site to collect any unused prescriptions that are turned in at this event.
