Join us at "Obstacles to Peace: Where Do We Go from Here?" for an in-depth look at the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

At this event, featured speaker Ghaith al-Omari, senior fellow at The Washington Institute and former member of the Palestinian negotiating team, will present a unique perspective on the conflict and discuss what views on the Palestinian side mean for diplomacy.

Open to the community. All are welcome to attend.

About Ghaith al-Omari
Ghaith al-Omari is a senior fellow at The Washington Institute, where he has partnered with David Makovsky on several national speaking tours. He is the former executive director of the American Task Force on Palestine. Previously, he served in various positions within the Palestinian Authority, including advisor to the negotiating team during the 1999-2001 permanent-status talks, where he was a participant in the 2000 Camp David Summit and other negotiations rounds. He advised the Palestinian president and prime minister on matters of foreign policy and security. Mr. Omari is a widely published author and a regular media commentator on the peace process, Palestinian politics, and Middle Eastern affairs.
